Labour Dogs Training School

Labour Dogs Training School (労働犬教習所) is a fictional Japanese institution that provides new dog owners with a training program to get a qualification for keeping dogs. This project draws an alternative future of pet businesses in Japan by proposing a co-society of human and dogs.
In the future in Japan, dogs are seen as labour capital and dog owners are required to graduate from a Labour Dogs Training School. Through a year-long program, dog owners learn how to train their puppies well and teach them how to work in society. In the future, there are working opportunities for dogs such as therapy dogs, delivery dogs, observer dogs, advertising dog etc. Furthermore, dog owners could exchange (for money) their dogs’ hair and poop, and generate electricity from their dog running.
